Cosmopolitan Ballet Theatre strives to give the dedicated dancer a complete education comprised of professional level dance training along with a well rounded exposure to global arts, cultures and languages.

Irina Vakhromeeva - Founder, Artistic Director, Choreographer, and Ballet Mistress 

 

Cosmopolitan Ballet Theatre, founded in 2003, is a multicultural organization dedicated to teaching ballet and world dance through intensive national and international workshops led by highly acclaimed dance masters.

Irina Vakhromeeva is a graduate of the Vaganova Ballet Academy, where she received her MFA as a Ballet Artist. She toured throughout the world as a soloist and principal artist with the Moscow Festival Ballet, International Ballet, and Moscow Ballet Company.  Her repertoire included: The Nutcracker, Giselle, Don Quixote, Corsaire, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Flame of Paris, La Fille Mal Gardee, and Snow Maiden among others.


As a principal guest artist, choreographer, and teacher, Ms. Vakhromeeva has worked with many ballet companies, including: Metropolitan Ballet Company in Houston, Texas; Hamilton Ballet in Ontario, Canada; Galveston Ballet in Galveston, Texas; International Ballet in Taiwan, as well as many universities in the United States. Her knowledge of the most current teaching methods and styles has produced many young dancers who have been accepted into some of the world's greatest ballet schools including: Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia; Julliard School in New York City; and University of North Carolina School of the Arts.


Ms. Vakhromeeva is currently in her 5th year as Associate Director and Principal Instructor of East Street Dance Center, School of Ballet in Hadley, Massachusetts.
